Install
- Close WoW, then unzip
GuildHall.zip. - Move the
GuildHallfolder intoWorld of Warcraft\_forever_\Interface\AddOns\(replace the old one if you're updating). - Start the game. On the character screen click AddOns and make sure GuildHall is ticked.
- In the game type
/gh, or click the Clear Comms shield on the minimap. Open each of your profession windows once so your recipes are shared with the guild.
Recommended: the DungeonJournal addon (by Exehn). GuildHall's gear plan reads the boss and loot lists from it. It isn't included here because it's someone else's addon; get it from wherever your guildmates got theirs.
What's new
- v0.5.0: Crafters: People | Professions views, click a person for their recipes per profession, click a profession for its crafters and recipes, search groups by recipe (Pattern:/Recipe: prefixes ignored). Ask the Guild: quiet looking-for-group board (LFG/LFGQ messages), calls for Tank/Healer/DPS notify only those roles (CALL), gank alert kept; notifications are one-line banners; sound off by default.
- v0.4.3: whispers, invites and addon messages go to the exact name the game uses (GH.target), fixing 'No player named ... is currently playing' for tagged names; GuildHall still files people under the plain name.
- v0.4.2: gear plan only recommends what your class can use: separate one-hand/two-hand weapon rules, dual wield for off-hand weapons, relics by class, unknown weapon types left out, 'Classes:' items and profession-only items (e.g. Engineering) checked.
- v0.6.0: Group Finder tab: tick the dungeons in your range (DungeonJournal levels: now or within 3 levels, outlevelled by up to 5); board grouped by dungeon (ticked first, role counts, 'Any dungeon' for 0.5 clients); LFG and CALL carry the dungeon list as a new last field (0.5 clients ignore it); a call notifies only matching roles who ticked the dungeon or are its level. Ask the Guild keeps the gank alert plus a recent-alerts list.
- v0.8.0: Quests tab: quests with item rewards by zone, near your level and for your race/class, with the quest chain each is on (step N of M) and its rewards; search by quest, reward or zone; read from the QuestieDB addon if installed. Gear tab now also suggests quest rewards. /gh diag reports the quest database.
- v0.7.1: materials lookups can't break a profession scan or a tooltip (errors caught, tooltip errors reported once); the guild is asked only for a recipe the mouse rests on, at most one question every 2.5 s, so skimming a list doesn't crowd out recipe syncs.
- v0.7.0: recipe tooltips in the Crafters tab: stats of the crafted item (game tooltip), materials with how many you have, who knows it. Materials shared on request (MQ/MA) and saved for all characters, kept out of the synced record; /gh diag reports how many are saved and whether the game answers directly.
- v0.3.0: notification cards instead of chat for help requests; Gear tab (class/role gear plan with bosses).
- v0.2.0: new look, tooltips, minimap button, settings, passing on others' recipes.
- v0.1.0 fix: GH.on kept one handler per event, so GuildButton's PLAYER_LOGIN replaced Core's (no 'loaded'
- v0.3.1: fixed the Gear tab staying empty (DungeonJournal's list holds non-dungeon entries); pages show errors instead of failing silently; crafted gear found on clients that record recipes by spell.
- v0.4.1: one entry per person: names are keyed by the plain character name (WoW Forever shows some as 'Name Tag'); old duplicates merged at login.
- v0.4.0: Gear tab: click a slot for its top 5 options; By dungeon view (upgrades per dungeon, most first, Open in DungeonJournal); Hide items I own; Wishlist only.
- v0.3.2: Gear tab works on WoW Forever, which has only C_Item.GetItemInfo (no global GetItemInfo).
